- 1 1/2 pounds bulk lean chicken or turkey sausage
- 3 raw eggs
- 1 1/2 cups dried bread crumbs, divided
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 6 hardboiled eggs, peeled
- Cooking oil spray
Utensils
- Large Bowl
- Three Small Bowls
- Silicone-Tipped Tongs

Step 1
In a large bowl, combine the chicken sausage, 1 raw egg, and 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs and mix well. Divide the mixture into 6 pieces and flatten each into a long oval.

In a shallow bowl, beat the remaining 2 raw eggs.

Place the flour in a small bowl.

Place the remaining 1 cup of breadcrumbs in a second small bowl.

Roll each hardboiled egg in the flour and wrap one of the chicken
sausage pieces around each egg to encircle it completely. -

One at a time, roll the encased eggs in the flour, dip in the
beaten eggs, and finally dip in the bread crumbs to coat. -
Step 7
Insert the crisper plate into the basket and the basket into the unit. Preheat the unit by selecting AIR FRY, setting the temperature to 375°F, and setting the time to 3 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin.

Once the unit is preheated, spray the crisper plate with cooking oil. Place the eggs in a single layer into the basket and spray them with oil.

Select AIR FRY, set the temperature to 375°F, and set the time to 13 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin.

After about 6 minutes, use tongs to turn the eggs and spray them with more oil. Resume cooking for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and the Scotch eggs are browned.

When the cooking is complete, serve warm.
