Salted Caramel Twix Cookies

  • 1 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup Twix, chopped into bite sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup caramel bits
  • Maldon sea salt, for sprinkling


  • Stand Mixer

  • Step 1

    In the bowl of a stand mixer with the paddle attachment (or with hand mixer), add in the butter, light brown sugar and sugar. Beat on medium speed until the mixture is light and fluffy, this will take 3-4 minutes. The butter should lighten in color.

  • Step 2

    With the mixer on low, slowly add in the eggs, followed by the vanilla extract.

  • Step 3

    Lay out a large piece of parchment paper or a flexible cutting board and sift the flour and baking soda right onto the middle.

  • Step 4

    Lift the parchment paper by the two long sides and slowly add the flour mixture into the mixer on low speed.

  • Step 5

    Turn the mixer up to medium and beat until just combined. Remove the bowl from the mixer and using a large spatula, gently fold in the Twix pieces and caramel bits.

  • Step 6

    Remove the crisping tray from the bottom of the air fryer baskets. Drop 1/4 of dough into Zone 1 and 1/4 of dough into Zone 2, then slide baskets back into unit.

  • Step 7

    Select Zone 1, select AIRFRY, set temperature to 350°F, and set time to 12-15 minutes. Select MATCH COOK to match Zone 2 settings to Zone 1. Press center dial to begin cooking.

  • Step 8

    When the timer goes off, immediately sprinkle cookies with a little bit of sea salt. Repeat cooking process with remaining dough. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
