Cooking mode

Step-by-step instruction without your screen going to sleep

  • 1 cup water, for steaming
  • Nonstick cooking spray, for greasing
  • 6 large eggs
  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 1 small plum tomato, diced
  • ½ red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, diced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • ¼ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ cup chopped cilantro, divided
  • 1 pound frozen prepared tater tots
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • Avocado, for serving
  • Hot sauce or ketchup, for serving

  • Step 1

    Pour water into the Combi Cooker Pan for steaming. Place the Crisper Tray on top of the Combi Cooker Pan and slide it into Level 1.

  • Step 2

    Grease baking pan with cooking spray.

  • Step 3

    Add eggs into a large mixing bowl. Add milk and whisk well. Add onions, tomato, peppers, jalapeño, ginger paste, garlic paste, ground cumin, coriander, garam masala, turmeric, salt, pepper, and ¼ cup cilantro. Whisk together until well combined.

  • Step 4

    Pour the egg mixture in the greased baking pan. Line the tater tots on top in a single layer. Place the pan on the Crisper Tray.

  • Step 5

    Close door and flip the SmartSwitch to COMBI COOK. Select COMBI CRISP, set temperature to  350°F and set time to 20 minutes. Press START/STOP to begin cooking (unit will steam for 5-7  minutes).

  • Step 6

    When 5 minutes remain, open the door and pull out the pan. Sprinkle the cheese on top then slide the pan back in. Close door.

  • Step 7

    When cooking is complete, remove baking tray from unit. Garnish with remaining cilantro. Serve with sliced avocados and hot sauce or ketchup.
