Bell’s Bourbon BBQ Turkey Legs

Tip: These meaty turkey legs are a perfect pair for the Bell’s Bourbon BBQ Wing Seasoning. Pressure cook then air crisp for tender perfection. They would be great served with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables for a holiday table.

  • 2 turkey legs, separated into thighs and drumsticks
  • 1 package Bell’s Bourbon BBQ Wing Seasoning
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup bourbon (optional)


  • Small Saucepan
  • Pastry brush
  • Step 1

    Rub the turkey thighs and drumsticks with the Bell’s Bourbon Barbecue Wing Seasoning and place them in to the Cook & Crisp Basket

  • Step 2

    Add water and bourbon to the cooking pot.

  • Step 3

    Assemble pressure lid, making sure the pressure release valve is in the SEAL position. Select PRESSURE and set to high. Set time to 25 minutesSelect START/STOP to begin.

  • Step 4

    When pressure cooking is complete, quick release the pressure by moving the pressure release valve to the VENT position. Carefully remove lid when unit has finished releasing pressure.

    Remove the basket with the turkey and set aside.

  • Step 6

    Remove the pot from the unit and strain the liquid into a small saucepan. Bring it to a simmer on the stovetop, then reduce slowly.

    Place the pot back in the unit. Then, place the basket with the turkey in the pot.

    Close the crisping lid. Select AIR CRISP, set temperature to 390°F, and set time to 15 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin.

    Continue to reduce the sauce until it has thickened, then remove from stovetop.

    When cooking is complete, transfer the turkey legs to a serving tray.

    Use a pastry brush to gently brush the bourbon sauce on the turkey legs, then let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
