Turkey and cranberry sauce don’t have to be served only during the holidays. These sweet, tangy, and juicy meatballs can be cooked up any time of year to bring holiday joy to any gathering. I like serving these on a platter with toothpicks ready to go for a perfect party appetizer.

Step-by-step instruction without your screen going to sleep

  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 1 (14-ounce) can cranberry sauce

Utensils

  • Large Bowl
  • Step 1

In a large bowl, mix together the onion powder, bread crumbs, eggs, brown sugar, and salt. Place the ground turkey in the bowl. Using your hands, mix the ingredients together just until combined (overmixing can make the meat tough and chewy). Form the mixture into 11/2- to 2-inch meatballs. This should make 20 to 22 meatballs.

  • Step 2

Insert the Grill Grate and close the hood. Select GRILL, set the temperature to MED, and set the time to 20 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin preheating.

  • Step 3

When the unit beeps to signify it has preheated, place the meatballs on the Grill Grate. Close the hood and cook for 10 minutes.

  • Step 4

After 10 minutes, open the hood and flip the meatballs. Close the hood and cook for 10 minutes more.

  • Step 5

When cooking is complete, remove the meatballs from the grill. Place the cranberry sauce in a small bowl and use a whisk to stir it into more of a thick jelly sauce. Serve the meatballs with the sauce on the side.
