Cooking mode

  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 1-15.25 oz chocolate cake mix, prepared per box instructions
  • 16oz jar prepared vanilla frosting
  • Rainbow sprinkles, as desired

Utensils

  • One 8-inch cake pan (3 inches tall)
  • Step 1

    Install the Accessory Frame in the bottom level of the unit and install pizza stone in rack. While holding the smoke box open, use the pellet scoop to pour pellets into the smoke box until filled to the top. Then close the smoke box.

  • Step 2

    Turn dial to select BAKE. Press WOODFIRE FLAVOR. Set temperature to 350°F and set time to 35 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin preheating (preheating will take approx. 20 minutes).

  • Step 3

    While oven is preheating, spray one 8-inch cake pan (3 inches tall) generously with cooking spray and pour prepared cake batter into pan.

  • Step 4

    When unit is preheated and ADD FOOD and PRS START is displayed, open door and place the cake pan on the pizza stone. Close door, press START/STOP and allow to bake.

  • Step 5

    When cake is done baking, ensure doneness by inserting toothpick into center of cake, toothpick should come out clean.

  • Step 6

    Allow cake to cool to the touch, invert cake pan to remove cake and place on plate or cake stand. Decorate cake with frosting and sprinkles and serve as desired.
