These viral smashburger tacos have taken social media by storm, and for good reason. They cook super quick, and they’re absolutely delicious. The toppings in the recipe are authentic to a smashburger, but feel free to swap them out for the toppings of your choice.

Tip: Use the griddle preheat time to prep your smashburger toppings and have them ready to go so when your tacos come off the griddle you can dress them and eat them “hot off the griddle”.

Tip: The initial grill time of 20 minutes is set for making additional tacos and you will not use the whole time if you’re just making the two tacos. If you would like to make additional tacos, repeat steps 3-6 to make as many tacos as needed, adjusting timer as needed. No additional preheat time is required.

  • Step 1

To install the griddle plate, position it flat on top of the heating element and gently press down until it sits into place. Close the hood.

  • Step 2

Turn dial to GRILL, set temperature to HI and set time to 20 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin preheating (preheating will take approx. 10-13 minutes).

  • Step 3

While the unit is preheating, divide the ground beef into two equal balls and prepare your toppings and sauce. To prepare the sauce, add all ingredients to a small bowl and mix.
