Slow Cooker Turkey Chili with Cornbread
TIP: If the top of the cornbread is getting too brown but is not fully cooked, place the bake tray over the top to prevent over browning.

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small yellow onion, peeled, diced small (1/2-inch pieces)
- 1 medium green pepper, seeded, diced small (1/2-inch pieces)
- 1 jalapeno, seeded, diced fine
- 2 garlic cloves, peeled, minced
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 can (28 oz) fire roasted tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained, rinsed
- 1 cup water
- 1 packet (1 oz) Chili Seasoning
CORN BREAD
- 1 box (15 ounces) cornbread mix (prepared per box instructions)

Step 1
Slide the Combi Cooker Pan into Level 1. With the door open, flip the SmartSwitch to AIRFRY/STOVETOP. Select SEAR/SAUTE and set the temperature to HI. Press START/STOP and let the pan preheat for 2 minutes.

After 2 minutes, slide out the Combi Cooker Pan, add the olive oil, onion, peppers, and minced garlic. Slide pan back into the unit, and with the door open, sauté vegetables for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove pan, add ground turkey and half of the chili seasoning. Return pan to level 1 and cook for 5 minutes or until the ground turkey is browned and cooked through. Using a wooden spoon or non-stick spatula, break up and mix turkey meat into smaller pieces while it cooks.

Press START/STOP to turn off the unit. Remove the Combi Cooker Pan and add the fire-roasted tomatoes, kidney beans, water, chili seasoning mix, and stir to combine.

Return the pan to the level 1 and close the door. Select SLOW COOK, set the temperature to HI, and set the time to 2 hours. Press START/STOP to begin cooking.

Meanwhile, prepare cornbread per box instructions. Transfer cornbread to 8×8-inch pan and smooth into even layer. Place 8×8-inch pan on top of the Bake Tray and set aside.

When cooking is complete, remove the Combi Cooker Pan and set it on a heat-proof surface. Stir the chili to combine and cover with aluminum foil to keep warm. Set aside.

To bake the corn bread, slide Bake Tray and 8×8-inch pan into LEVEL 1. select BAKE, set the temperature to 375°F, and set the time to 25 minutes. Press START/STOP to begin cooking.

When cooking is complete, ensure the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the cornbread comes out clean. Add more time if needed. Allow corn bread to cool 5 minutes before slicing, then serve warm with turkey chili.
