Step-by-step instruction without your screen going to sleep
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- All purpose flour, as needed
- 1 sheet prepared puff pastry dough, thawed
- 2/3 cup semi sweet chocolate chips (optional)
Utensils
- Parchment Paper
- Rolling Pin
-
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two Ninja™ Foodi™ NeverStick™ Premium 10” x 15” Baking Sheets with parchment paper.
-
Step 2
In a small bowl, add the egg and water and mix to combine.
-
Step 3
Lightly flour work surface, then unfold pastry dough and lightly dust with flour. Using a rolling pin, roll the sheet into a 16-inch square. Cut the dough in half, then cut each half into four rectangles, creating eight 8-inch by 4-inch rectangles. Cut each rectangle diagonally into triangles, making 16 triangles.
-
Step 4
Evenly divide chocolate chips over the center of each triangle. Form croissants by rolling each tringle up, starting at the wide end. Place croissants seam side down, then tuck in edges, creating crescent shape.
-
Step 5
Transfer croissants to prepared baking sheets and lightly brush with egg wash.
-
Step 6
Transfer croissants to oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly golden brown, rotating baking sheets halfway through cooking.
-
Step 7
When cooking is complete, remove croissants from oven and transfer to cooling rack. Cool for 20 minutes, then serve.
