Montreal Strip Steaks with Green Beans & Rice

This delicious Montreal Strip Steak is the perfect weeknight meal! In under 30 minutes you can have dinner on the table for a family-friendly night.

LEVEL 1 (BOTTOM OF POT)

  • 1 cup jasmine rice, rinsed
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/2 bunch scallions, thinly sliced
  • Kosher salt, as desired

LEVEL 2 (BOTTOM LAYER OF RACK)

  • 1 bag (12 ounce) green beans
  • 1/4 cup orange sesame dressing

LEVEL 3 (TOP LAYER OF RACK)

  • 2 NY strip steaks, halved (12 ounces )
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil, divided
  • Kosher salt, as desired
  • 2 tablespoons Montreal steak seasoning, divided

Utensils

  • Deluxe Reversible Rack
  • Aluminum Foil
  • Step 1

    Place all Level 1 ingredients in the pot and stir to combine.

  • Step 2

    In a large bowl, add all Level 2 ingredients and toss until evenly combined.

  • Step 3

    Rub 1 side of each steak with canola oil, then season with salt and Montreal steak seasoning.

  • Step 4

    Place the bottom layer of the Deluxe Reversible Rack in the lower position and cover with aluminum foil, then place the rack in the pot. Place the greens beans on top of the rack.

  • Step 5

    Slide the Deluxe Layer through the lower layer’s handles. Place the steaks on the Deluxe Layer.

  • Step 6

    Close the lid and move slider to STEAMCRISP. Select STEAM & CRISP, set temperature to 425°F, and set time to 9 minutes. Press START/STOP to begin cooking (PrE will display for approx. 10 minutes as the unit steams, then the timer will start counting down).

  • Step 7

    When cooking is complete, carefully remove the entire rack. Serve steaks with green beans and rice.
