Herb-Roasted Chicken

Tip: Don’t forget to add water or stock to create steam and cook your food


  • 1 whole fresh chicken (6–7 pounds/2.7kg))
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 1 tablespoon whole black peppercorns
  • 5 cloves garlic, peeled, smashed
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • Kosher salt, as desired
  • Ground black pepper, as desired

Cooking mode

When entering cooking mode - We will enable your screen to stay ‘always on’ to avoid any unnecessary interruptions while you cook!


  • Step 1

    Remove packet of giblets, if included in cavity of the chicken. Tie legs together with cooking twine.

  • Step 2

    Add the water, lemon juice, peppercorns, garlic, and rosemary to the pot.

  • Step 3

    Brush the chicken with oil and season generously with salt and pepper.

  • Step 4

    Place chicken in the Cook & Crisp Basket and place the basket in the pot. Close the lid and move slider to STEAMCRISP.

  • Step 5

    Select STEAM & CRISP, set temperature to 365°F and set time to 55 minutes. Press START/STOP to begin cooking (PrE will display for
    approx. 15 minutes as the unit steams, then the timer will start counting down).

  • Step 6

    When cooking is complete, remove the basket from the pot and let rest for 5 to 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
