  • 1 pineapple, peeled, core removed, cut in 1/2-inch rings
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Kosher salt, as desired
  • Ground black pepper, as desired
  • 6 (5-6 ounce) pork chops
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced small
  • 1 medium red onion, peeled, diced small
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

Utensils

  • Small Bowl
  • Large Bowl
  • Step 1

To install the grill grate, slide it into the front of the base so it hooks in, then press down on the back until it clicks into place. Select GRILL, set temperature to MAX, and set time to 25 minutes. Close the hood and press the dial to begin preheating (preheating will take approximately 5 minutes).

  • Step 2

When unit beeps to signal it has preheated, open hood and add pineapple rings. Leave hood open to begin cooking. Cook for 8 minutes, flipping halfway through. Remove pineapple and set aside.

  • Step 3

While the pineapple cooks, prepare the pork chops. In a small bowl, combine all spices, salt, and pepper. Evenly coat the pork chops in oil and spices on all sides. Place pork chops on grill grate and close hood.

  • Step 4

Select the TEMP button and adjust the temperature to HI. Press the dial to begin cooking. Since the grill will already be hot, skip preheating by pressing the PREHEAT button. Cook for 16 minutes, flipping halfway through. When cooking is complete, remove from grill and set aside.

  • Step 5

Chop the pineapple into the same size as the peppers and onions. In a large bowl, add pineapple, peppers, onions, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Toss until combined. Serve pork chops with pineapple salsa.
