Step 1
To install the grill grate, slide it into the front of the base so it hooks in, then press down on the back until it clicks into place. Install griddle on top of grill grate so it sits flat. Select BBQ GRIDDLE, set temperature to 400°F, and set time to 20 minutes. Close the hood and press the dial to begin preheating (preheating will take approximately 10 minutes).
Step 2
When unit beeps to signal it has preheated, open hood and add 2 tablespoons canola oil to the griddle. Place chicken on griddle and evenly spread across the surface. Season with salt and pepper. Leave hood open to begin cooking. Cook, tossing occasionally, for 2 minutes, then close the hood and cook for 3 minutes. When cooking is complete, remove chicken and set aside.
Step 3
Close hood and preheat for 2 minutes, then open and add the remaining canola oil to the griddle. Add the onions and peppers. Leave hood open and cook for 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Add the garlic and ginger, toss to combine, and continue to cook for 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
Step 4
After 6 minutes, toss the chicken and sesame oil with the vegetables on the griddle. Leave the hood open and cook for 2 minutes.
Step 5
Add the udon noodles and toss to evenly combine with the chicken and vegetables. Add the teriyaki sauce and toss to evenly coat everything in the sauce. Close the hood and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 6
When cooking is complete, open hood and remove everything from griddle. Plate and top with scallions.
