Easy Apple Crumble
Enjoy this fall favorite throughout the year, thanks to this delicious recipe from Chef Jamika Pessoa. Juicy and spiced apples baked with a bourbon caramel-y crumble topping.
TIP: Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for some added sweetness.

Topping
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon apple pie spice
- pinch Kosher salt
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, chilled, cut in small cubes
Filling
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4-6 Granny Smith or Gala apples, peeled, diced in large cubes or wedges
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- pinch Kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F.

Step 2
To make crumble topping, combine flour, sugars, apple pie spice, and salt. Then use a fork or pastry cutter to cut the cold butter cubes into flour mixture until it appears crumbly and most of butter is evenly combined. Set aside.

To make filling, melt butter in the Ninja™ Foodi™ NeverStick™ 3-quart Sauté Pan or Fry Pan over medium heat, then add apples to pan.

Stir in brown sugar and salt and cook for 3 to 5 minutes.

In a small bowl, thoroughly mix flour, bourbon, and lemon juice together to make a slurry. Pour slurry over the apples and stir until they’re evenly coated.

Remove pan from heat, then sprinkle topping evenly over apples.

Place pan in oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes until mixture is bubbling and apples are tender.

Serve crumble warm with a scoop of ice cream or topped with whipped cream, if desired.
