These crab stuffed mushrooms are the perfect appetizer for your next gathering! Creamy crab filling in delicious button mushrooms!

TIP: Use cooked sausage or bacon instead of crab for a twist on this recipe.

Cooking mode

  • 1 lb lump crabmeat
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup cream cheese, room temperature
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped chives
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese, plus more for topping
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • salt 
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 18 baby Bella or button mushrooms, stems removed
  • 1/2 cup water

  • Step 1

    In a large bowl, stir together the crabmeat, egg, cream cheese, mayonnaise, chives, cheese, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper and mix well to combine. 

  • Step 2

    Spoon about 1 ½ tablespoons of the crab mixture into each mushroom cap. Place the stuffed mushrooms in the basket. Place the water in the pot and place the basket in the pot. Assemble the pressure lid, making sure the pressure release valve is in the SEAL position.  

  • Step 3

    Select PRESSURE and ser to HIGH. Set time to 6 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin. 

  • Step 4

    When pressure cooking is complete, quick release the pressure by, moving the pressure release valve to the VENT position. Carefully remove the lid when the unihas finished releasing pressure.  

  • Step 5

    Remove the basket. Drain any leftover liquid from the pot and wipe it clean. Place the basket and mushrooms back in the pot. Sprinkle the mushrooms with more cheese. 

  • Step 6

    Close the crisping lid. Select AIR CRISP, set temperature to 300F, and set time to 10 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin, checking for doneness after 8 minutes. When done, the cheese will be melted, bubbly, and slightly browned. If needed, continue cooking up to 2 minutes more.  

  • Step 7

    When cooking is complete, serve right away or keep warm until ready to serve.
