  • 1 1/4 cups warm water (about 110°F)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons fast acting instant yeast
  • 3 cups bread flour, plus more for dusting
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Utensils

  • Large Bowl
  • Rubber Spatula
  • Parchment Paper
  • Step 1

In a large bowl, add water, yeast, 1 1/2 cups bread flour, and kosher salt. Stir with a rubber spatula until combined.

  • Step 2

Next, add in the remaining bread flour and knead lightly in the bowl with hands until the dough comes together in a shaggy ball.

  • Step 3

Transfer the dough ball onto a clean work surface and knead for 5 minutes or until the dough is smooth (dough will be slightly dry).

  • Step 4

Spray a large bowl with nonstick cooking spray, roll the dough into a ball and place inside the prepared bowl. Spray the surface of the dough with nonstick cooking spray and then cover the bowl with plastic wrap and a damp dish towel. Allow dough to proof until doubled in size (about 1-2 hours).

  • Step 5

Once proofed, flatten the dough, and remove from the bowl. Place dough on a clean work surface and shape into a tight ball.

  • Step 6

Place dough on top of a 9-inch by 13-inch piece of parchment paper. Dust the top of the dough lightly with flour and cover with a clean dish towel. Allow to proof until doubled in size (about 1 hour).

  • Step 7

Flip the Smart Switch to AIRFRY/STOVETOP and select BAKE, set the temperature to 460°F and set the time to 33 mins, press START/STOP to begin preheat. (The unit will preheat for 3 minutes and display PRE, unit will beep when preheat is complete).

  • Step 8

With a sharp knife, cut an “X” 1/2-inch deep on the top of the dough. Lightly mist water on the dough with a spray bottle or fingers.

  • Step 9

When the unit is preheated, transfer the dough with the parchment paper to the Dutch oven, place the lid on top and slide into Level 2, close door to start cooking.

  • Step 10

When there are 13 minutes left on the time, remove the lid from the Dutch oven, and close the door to continue cooking.

  • Step 11

When cooking is complete, carefully remove the bread from the Dutch oven and place onto a cooling rack. Allow to cool for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
