Avocado Lime Sorbet

A tart and healthy sorbet option!

TIP: This recipe makes a well-textured sorbet. To make the mix a little tighter, add 1/4 teaspoon of pectin in with the sugar in step 2.

NOTE: If your freezer is too cold, the ice cream may look crumbly. If this occurs, select RE-SPIN to process the mixture a little more.

Step-by-step instruction without your screen going to sleep

  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 ounces lime juice (2 to 3 large limes)
  • 1 large ripe avocado, skin and seed removed

  • Medium Saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Blender
  • Step 1

    In a medium saucepan, whisk together water, sea salt, and corn syrup. Place saucepan over medium heat and slowly add the sugar, continuously whisking. Bring to a boil and remove from heat.

  • Step 2

    Cool the mixture down completely. Once cool, add the mixture to a blender pitcher with the lime juice and avocado and blend until smooth, about 60 seconds.

  • Step 3

    Pour base into an empty CREAMi™ Pint. Place storage lid on pint and freeze for 24 hours.

  • Step 4

    Remove pint from freezer and remove lid from pint. Place pint in outer bowl, install Creamerizer™ Paddle onto outer bowl lid, and lock the lid assembly on the outer bowl. Place bowl assembly on motor base and twist the handle right to raise the platform and lock in place.

  • Step 5

    Select SORBET.

  • Step 6

    When processing is complete, remove sorbet from pint and serve immediately.
