Grilled Steak

This easy grilled steak is the perfect protein for a summer barbecue party. Delicious New York strip steaks grilled to perfection. Serve these with all your favorite summer cookout sides: mac and cheese, grilled corn, potato salad, grilled veggies… the options are endless!

Step-by-step instruction without your screen going to sleep

  • 4 NY strip steaks (10-12 ounces each)
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • kosher salt, as desired
  • ground black pepper, as desired
  • Step 1

    To install the grill grate, position it flat on top of the heating element and gently press down until it sits into place.

  • Step 2

    Turn dial to GRILL, set temperature to HI, and set time to 10 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin preheating (preheating will take approx. 10-12 minutes). Depending on the size of the steak and desired doneness, more or less time may be needed during the cooking cycle. Use the arrows to the right to add or reduce time as necessary.

  • Step 3

    While the unit is preheating, season the steaks on all sides with the oil, salt, and pepper.

  • Step 4

    When the unit has indicated it has been preheated and ADD FOOD is displayed, open the hood and place the steak on the grill. Close the hood to being cooking.

  • Step 5

    When FLIP is displayed, open the hood, flip the steaks, then close the hood to continue cooking.

  • Step 6

    When cooking is complete, remove steaks from grill and serve.
