  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (5-6 ounces each)
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) ranch seasoning
  • 4 large jalapeños, cut in half lengthwise, pith and seeds removed
  • ½ block cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon Kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon granulated garlic
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 8 strips uncooked bacon, ½-inch trimmed off one end each piece

Utensils

  • Large Bowl
  • Step 1

Evenly cover the chicken breasts on all sides with ranch seasoning, then set aside.

  • Step 2

To install the grill grate, position it flat on top of the heating element and gently press down until it sits into place. Add the Combo Crisper Basket to one side of the grill, then close the hood.

  • Step 3

While holding the smoke box lid open, use the pellet scoop to pour pellets into the smoke box until filled to the top. Then close the smoke box lid.

  • Step 4

Turn dial to GRILL, press WOODFIRE FLAVOR, set temperature to HI and set time to 20 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin preheating (preheating will take approx. 15-19 minutes).

  • Step 5

While the unit is preheating, in a large bowl, add the cream cheese, cheddar cheese and all remaining seasonings and mix until fully combined. Fill each jalapeño half with cheese mixture, leveling off at the top. Wrap one piece of bacon around each jalapeño half, noting that the bacon may not completely cover the cheese.

  • Step 6

When the unit beeps to signify it is preheated and ADD FOOD is displayed, open the hood, and place the jalapenos in the basket and place the chicken on the grill. Close hood to begin cooking.

  • Step 7

When FLIP is displayed, open hood, flip chicken, then close hood to continue cooking.

  • Step 8

When cooking is complete, remove chicken and poppers from grill and serve.
