Protein Packed Breakfast Skewers
Protein is the most filling macronutrient and the variety of proteins on this breakfast skewer will keep you fueled for hours. Italian sausage links work better than traditional breakfast sausages here because they are thicker and sturdier. They do not cook as fast as breakfast sausage, so they will not burn while the bacon crisps around the melting cheese.

- 4 bacon slices
- 1 (2-ounce) block cheddar cheese, cold, cut into 8 cubes
- 2 mild Italian sausage links
- 8 ounces cured ham steak

Step 1
Insert the Grill Grate and close the hood. Select GRILL, set the temperature to LOW, and set the time to 12 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin preheating.

Halve each piece of bacon crosswise, then wrap each piece around a cheese cube; set aside.

Cut each sausage into 4 pieces, about 1/3 inch thick.

Cut the ham into 8 equal pieces.

Stack the ingredients onto 4 (6-inch) skewers in this order: 1 bacon-wrapped cheese cube, 1 piece of sausage, 1 piece of ham steak, 1 piece of sausage, 1 piece of ham steak, 1 bacon-wrapped cheese cube.

Remove the breakfast skewers from the grill and serve.
