These Molten Chocolate Cakes are so easy and delicious! A decadent dessert.

TIP: Additional batter can be frozen for 1 month, refrigerated for 1 week, or baked immediately.

  • 1 cup water, for steaming
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 1 box (18.3 ounces) brownie mix, prepared, per box instructions
  • 4 chocolate truffles
  • Ice cream, for topping (optional)


  • Crisper Tray
  • 4 Oven-Safe Ramekins
  • Large Bowl
  • Step 1

    Pour 1 cup of water into the pot. Push in the legs on the Crisper Tray, then place the tray in the bottom position in the pot. Spray each ramekin with nonstick cooking spray and set aside. 

  • Step 2

    To make the brownie mix, prepare according to the directions on the box. Transfer the batter mix to the ramekins, filling each 3/4 of the way full. Then, place one chocolate truffle in the center of each ramekin. Place all four ramekins on the tray.

  • Step 3

    Close the lid and flip the SmartSwitch to STEAMCRISP. Select STEAM & BAKE, set temperature to 315°F, and set time to 5 minutes. Press START/STOP to begin cooking (the unit will STEAM for approximately 20 minutes before switching to BAKE).

  • Step 4

    When cooking is complete, carefully remove ramekins from unit and allow cakes to cool for 5 minutes. Serve warm with toppings of choice.
