Step-by-step instruction without your screen going to sleep
- 2 medium (approx. 18 ounces total) Russet potatoes, cut in 1/4-inch sticks
- Hot water, as necessary
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- Kosher salt, as desired
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese of choice
- 2 pieces cooked bacon, diced
- 2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onion
- 2 tablespoons diced red bell pepper
Utensils
- Large Bowl
- Silicone-Tipped Tongs
-
Step 1
Place the Russet potatoes in a large bowl and cover with hot water as necessary for 15 minutes. This will help release excess starch from the potatoes.
-
Step 2
Install SearPlate in the bottom of the unit, then close the door. Select AIR FRY, set temperature to 375°F, and set time to 25 minutes. Press the setting dial to begin preheating.
-
Step 3
Drain and dry the potatoes, then place in a large bowl and toss with avocado oil and salt until evenly coated. Arrange the fries in the Air Fry Basket. When unit has preheated, open the door, and slide the basket into the top rails. Close door to begin cooking.
-
Step 4
After 10 minutes, use silicone-tipped tongs to toss the fries. Close door and cook for an additional 10 to 12 minutes or until desired crispiness is achieved.
-
Step 5
After 10 to 12 minutes, remove the fries from the oven and evenly cover with cheese and bacon. Then reinsert the Air Fry Basket on the top rails and cook until the cheese is melted, about 3 minutes.
-
Step 6
When cooking is complete, carefully remove the basket from the oven. Top with green onions and peppers and serve warm.
