Dessert Quesadillas
These dessert quesadillas are a fun dish to make with your kids! Grilled tortillas filled with dulce de leche and fresh fruit, topped with whipped cream and ice cream. The perfect dessert for your next barbecue cookout.

TIP: If you can’t find Oaxaca cheese, feel free to use queso fresco or shredded mozzarella instead.

Step-by-step instruction without your screen going to sleep
- 1 can (14 ounces) prepared dulce de leche
- 12 flour tortillas (6-inch diameter)
- 2 bananas, sliced
- 10 strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup Oaxaca cheese, crumbled or shredded
Toppings (Optional)
- Whipped cream
- Crema
- Ice cream

Step 1
To install the grill grate, position it flat on top of the heating element and gently press down until it sits into place, then close the hood. Turn dial to GRILL, set the temperature to HI, and set time to 15 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin preheating (preheating will take approx. 10–12 minutes).

Step 2
While the unit is preheating, prepare the quesadillas. Spread 2 tablespoons dulce de leche on each tortilla. Then top 6 of the tortillas evenly with the banana, sliced strawberry, and cheese. Place remaining 6 tortillas over each topped tortilla.

Step 3
When unit beeps to signify it is preheated and ADD FOOD is displayed, open hood and place three quesadillas on the grill and and leave the hood open to begin cooking. Grill quesadillas for 3 to 4 minutes per side, or until the cheese is melted. When cooking is complete, remove the grilled quesadillas and repeat this step with the other 3 quesadillas.

When all quesadillas have been grilled, cut each into 4 pieces and, if desired, serve with whipped cream, crema, or ice cream.
