  • 2 Cornish rock hens
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled, minced
  • ½ cup Wondra or instant flour
  • 4 bay leaves
  • Parmesan cheese, as desired

Utensils

  • Large Pot
  • Step 1

Add all chimichurri ingredients into the Nutri Ninja® Cup in the order listed. Select BLEND and process until the sauce is combined, but not smooth. Transfer the sauce to a bowl and season to taste with salt and pepper.

  • Step 2

Add the potatoes to a large pot of salted water, bring to a boil and simmer until tender, about 5 minutes. Drain and toss with 2 tablespoons canola oil, salt, and pepper. Arrange the potatoes evenly in the air fry basket.

  • Step 3

Install the wire rack on Level 1. Select WHOLE ROAST, select 2 LEVEL, set temperature to 450°F, and set time to 20 minutes. Press START/STOP to begin preheating.

  • Step 4

Spatchcock the hens and season liberally with salt, pepperminced garlic, and flour. Drizzle each hen with 2 tablespoons canola oil, then top with 1 bay leaf. Nest the Ninja Roast Tray in the Ninja Sheet Pan, then place the hens on the tray.

  • Step 5

When the unit is preheated, place pan on wire rack on Level 1 and slide basket into the rails on Level 4. Close oven door to begin cooking.

  • Step 6

When hens reach an internal temperature of 165°F, remove potatoes. Turn on the broil function and cook the hens for an additional 1 to 2 minutes, until they are a deep golden brown.

  • Step 7

When cooking is complete, remove the hens from the oven and cover in chimichurri sauce. Top the potatoes with Parmesan cheese and serve warm with the hens.
