Bacon Wrapped Street Hot Dogs

Step-by-step instruction without your screen going to sleep
- 8 pieces uncooked thin sliced bacon
- 1 package (8 per pack) beef hot dogs
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1 medium white onion, peeled, cut in half, sliced thin
- 1 red bell pepper, seeds removed, sliced thin
- 1 jalapeño, sliced thin
- 8 hot dog buns
- Ketchup, as desired
- Mayonnaise, as desired
- Mustard, as desired

Step 1
To install the grill grate, slide it into the front of the base so it hooks in, then press down on the back until it clicks into place. Install griddle on top of grill grate so it sits flat. Select BBQ GRIDDLE, set temperature to 400°F, and set time to 20 minutes. Close the hood and press the dial to begin preheating (preheating will take approximately 10 minutes).

Step 2
Wrap 1 piece of bacon around 1 hot dog, covering the hot dog as much as possible. Repeat with remaining bacon and hot dogs.

When unit beeps to signify it has preheated, open hood and add canola oil on the griddle. Place peppers and onions on griddle. Leave hood open to begin cooking.

After 5 minutes, toss and move vegetables to one side of the griddle. Add the bacon-wrapped hot dogs, seam side down, on the other side of the griddle. Close the hood and cook for 10 minutes, turning frequently to cook all sides of bacon.

After 10 minutes, open hood and remove vegetables. Add jalapeños to griddle, close the hood, and cook for 5 minutes.

When cooking is complete, remove hot dogs and jalapeños from griddle. Place hot dogs in buns and drizzle with ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard. Top with the peppers, onions, and jalapeños.
