Christa West is a New England native. Her journey with food began in childhood, as she was naturally immersed in the culinary arts by her father - an Executive and Corporate Chef, and her mother's family, who have owned and run Italian family restaurants over many generations. With a degree in Health Studies, she has a passion for clean and nutritious eating. Christa spent several years working on her hometown oyster farm, applying herself to every part of the cultivation process. Through oystering, she developed a profound appreciation for the farm to table process, and the labor of love that is farming. Before joining the Ninja Test Kitchen team, Christa's experience in food media originated at America's Test Kitchen. There, she worked on the Photo Team, cooking and baking a variety of foods every day to be published in - and on the cover of - the brand's many best-selling cookbooks. Aside from being creative in the kitchen, Christa enjoys trying her hand at food styling and food photography. When she's not cooking or eating, Christa can be found practicing yoga, running, or with her dog Nelli.
