Step-by-step instruction without your screen going to sleep
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 cloves of garlic, peeled, minced
- 1 shallot, peeled, finely chopped
- 1/2 yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 ½ cups whole milk
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- ½ box (8 ounces) dry linguini or spaghetti
- Grated Parmesan cheese, as desired
- Fresh chopped basil or parsley, as desired
-
Step 1
Place the Ninja™ Foodi™ NeverStick® 3-Quart Sauté Pan over medium heat. Add the butter and stir until melted and pan is coated.
-
Step 2
Add the garlic and shallot to the pan and stir occasionally until softened, about 1 minute. Add the onion and stir to combine, cooking for 3 minutes, until onions become translucent.
-
Step 3
Add the chicken broth, milk, salt, and pepper and stir to combine. Then add the pasta and stir to combine, ensuring the liquid is covering the pasta.
-
Step 4
Increase heat to medium-high and bring to a boil. Then, immediately reduce heat to medium-low and bring to a simmer. Simmer for minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure pasta does not stick together.
-
Step 5
Add Parmesan cheese to the pan and stir to combine. Cook for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened to your liking, adding additional milk as necessary to thin sauce.
-
Step 6
When cooking is complete, serve immediately. Garnish with additional Parmesan cheese and chopped basil or parsley as desired.
