Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso
Make this coffee shop drink right in your own kitchen! The secret is the brown sugar cinnamon syrup which can be made in a bigger batch so you are prepared to enjoy a few of these delightful shaken espresso drinks.
Tip: You can store the brown sugar cinnamon syrup in the fridge for up to two weeks.

Brown Sugar Cinnamon Syrup
- 1 ¼ cups dark brown sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
- ¾ teaspoon vanilla extract
Espresso Drink
- 2 espresso capsules
- Ice, as desired
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar syrup
- ¼ cup oat milk
Utensils
- Small Saucepan
- Whisk
- Fine-Mesh Strainer
- Cocktail Shaker

Step 1
In a small saucepan, combine dark brown sugar, water, and cinnamon. Bring to a boil. Whisk vigorously to combine the ingredients. Turn temperature to low and simmer for about five minutes.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and mix in vanilla extract. Allow to cool to room temperature.

Once cooled, strain syrup with a fine mesh strainer or coffee filter. Set aside.

Fill the water reservoir to at least the Cup line.

Lift the lever completely and insert the capsule. Close the lever, adjust the cup platform as necessary and place a cup filled with ice under the coffee outlet.

Press the Capsule Button and turn the dial to select OVER ICE, then select START BREW to begin brewing. Repeat process with second capsule.

When brewing is complete, place ice, brown sugar syrup, and espresso in a shaker and shake vigorously.

Once shaken pour into a glass with ice and top with oat milk.
